        Saturday 24th September, 2016
        St Beghians’ Day

Further events happening on the day are as follows:

On the 24th September the Trustees are planning a ‘public drop in event’ where the Trustees will be available to meet the public and OSBs. They intend to present details of the progress being made on bringing back education to the school and the future of the site.
They will also display information regarding the various activities currently taking place in the school
such as: the Business Management Centre, Sports facilities and Pool, the Golf Course,
          Arts and Theatre and Nursery.

At the same time the Parish Council will be holding an event where local organisations will be promoting their activities to local people.  The event is called ‘St Bees – What goes on’
and it will take place on Saturday 24th September 2 – 6pm in the Memorial Hall.

The Trustees would like to invite both the local community and OSBs to take part in a couple of
brainstorming sessions focused on how they would like to see the buildings
used in this transition period and to look for volunteers to assist with some of those ideas
(e.g. the part time opening of the Library for study; use of the Arts facility for Arts workshops).
The Trustees would welcome a strong attendance from OSBs and value their ongoing support.
